3.4 Affiliate Referral Tracking​

Referral tracking for our affiliate program does not use a cookie.

  • Local storage: When you open an affiliate link (a link to atomiktrading.io containing ?ref=), the referral code is saved in your browser's local storage (key atomik_referral_code, with its expiry time in atomik_referral_expiry) for 30 days on that device.
  • Your account: If you create an Atomik Trading account during those 30 days, the referral is recorded on your account.
  • Click records: When an affiliate link is opened, we also record the IP address, user agent, referring page, and landing page so we can count clicks.

Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. We do not control how these third parties use their cookies. For more information, refer to their respective privacy policies:

5. Local Storage​

In addition to cookies, we use your browser's local storage to store certain data necessary for the Service to function:

  • Authentication tokens — Your access token is stored in local storage to maintain your session across page loads.
  • User preferences — Display settings and UI state preferences.
  • Strategy Builder state — Draft strategy configurations are persisted locally so you don't lose work in progress.
  • Affiliate referral code — If you open an affiliate link, the referral code (atomik_referral_code) and its expiry time (atomik_referral_expiry) are stored for 30 days on that device. See section 3.4.

Except for the affiliate referral code, which expires after 30 days, local storage data does not expire automatically and remains until cleared by you or by the application.

6. Managing Cookies​

6.1 Browser Settings​

  • View what cookies are stored on your device.
  • Delete some or all cookies.
  • Block all cookies or only third-party cookies.
  • Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is set.

Please note that blocking or deleting essential cookies may prevent the Service from functioning properly. You may not be able to log in, maintain your session, or use certain features.
